- An air fryer. I used the Ninja XL for years. It’s ceramic, it goes up to 450 degrees and will make this diet easy compared to extremely frustrating. I have also used the Typhur and I’ve just upgraded the Ninja to their glass version. They’re all good. You need an air fryer that goes up to 450 degrees and the oven types don’t seem to get as hot. Seriously invest in this. If there’s one thing you buy, buy this.
- A pressure cooker. I use the 8qt Instant Pot.
- If you can only afford one thing - buy an Instant Pot/air fryer combo like this.
- Meat thermometer. Like this. Not 100% necessary but it does make cooking steaks easier.
- Dehydrator - a better metal one and a less expensive option. Highly recommended for jerky. And jerky is also highly recommended.
- Cast-iron frying pans (wash these with soap when you get them and then season yourself with tallow. Do not wash with soap after the first wash - these can just be rinsed with hot water after cooking and reused). This isn’t necessary if you’re going to rely on an air fryer.
- A blender. I use a vitamix for pâté. Here’s a less expensive one too. Not necessary for the diet, only if you want pâté and have made sure liver isn’t something that flares you.
- Baking tray (not necessary if you’re going to rely on the air fryer).
