No. If you’ve been on the diet for more than 6 months are are unable to reintroduce foods, most likely something else is going on. Mold, bacteria, parasites, virus, environment of some sort. Something else is bothering you or has caused a change in your immune system or continue gut permeability. If you are on the Lion Diet, you should test your vitamins yearly. If you test and have a low vitamin, supplement via IV or get an oral one that has minimal fillers and make sure you tolerate it and use that. After 5 years on the lion diet with no organs I had low folate, although I’ve always had low folate. I had no symptoms of low folate but I supplemented a bit anyway. Low folate is a risk for pregnant women and this can and should be mitigated by supplementation. Some people eat liver for folate which is fine but I’ve also seen people get vitamin A toxicity and develop scurvy after excessive organ supplementation. This diet should take care of all your vitamins, but long term hasn’t been studied so test yourself. Most people who start the lion diet are deficient and getting back to baseline by having IV’s isn’t a bad idea. Be careful with supplementing pills – many of them can cause insomnia for sensitive people and other reactions which is why we’re recommending vitamin IV’s instead. Weird reactions to vitamins can be caused by MTHFR genes or COMT genes (and probably more), and you may need methylated versions of vitamins or other versions. Seekinhealth.com is good for this, and Pure Encapsulations is another good company for vitamins.
