Does a High Protein Diet cause Kidney Disease?

This is a health myth. There were a couple studies long ago that seemed to suggest that high protein could be related to kidney problems, but have since been proven to be inaccurate. Protein can elevate your Urea levels but this is not an indicator of kidney damage. Your Urea is simply a breakdown product of protein.
