Beef, Lamb or Bison Air Fried Meatballs
Air fryer meatballs are a great make-ahead meal. These meatballs can be frozen and cooked in the air fryer for quick meal prep throughout the week. You can use Beef, Lamb or Bison.
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Ingredients
- Ground ruminant meat. Fattier is better but leaner works too
- Salt
- 2-3 tbsp of tallow
- Air fryer
Instructions
- Lightly form 2-3 ounce meatballs. Don’t over-handle. You'll have 8 or so if you use a pound of ground beef.
- Salt liberally.
- Place them in an air fryer at 450°F for 10 minutes
- Enjoy meatballs!
I tried making this with ground beef 80% lean & 20% fat. I might have overcooked it a little. Salted liberally. I ate it the next day and it was not very good. too dry. How do I make this without overcooking it and making it chewy but still have th eouter part crispy?
same thing happens to me. overcooked outside won’t cook fully inside
Am I supposed to put the tallow in the air fryer, or melt it down and roll in with the balls?
