Ingredients
- Ruminant animal bones
- Instant Pot
- Water
- Fine strainer
- Jars
- Salt
Instructions
- Put 5-10 bones into the instant pot (usually, the bones will be cut in half or will be in even shorter proportions. If you get them from a butcher, make sure he cuts them up).
- Fill the instant pot with water until it reaches about 1 inch below the max fill level.
- Then lock the lid on your Instant Pot and set the steam release knob to the “sealing” position. Select “manual” HIGH PRESSURE for 3 hours (180 minutes). It takes approximately 20 minutes for the Instant Pot to come to full pressure at which point the timer will start to count down.
- Once the three hours are complete, allow the pressure to release naturally (this will take approximately 20-30 minutes).
- Strain the broth into jars and put them in the fridge to cool. You can also put them into a freezer as they keep for up to 6 months.
